CLEVELAND, Ohio - The University of New Haven Department of Athletics enjoyed a very successful fall season and rank No. 21 in the final fall NCAA Division II Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings at the conclusion of the fall championships. With a total of 134 points, earned in both women's volleyball and football, the Chargers finished as one of two Northeast-10 Conference institutions in the top 25.

Athletes of the Week
David Thomas
Men's Track and Field
Thomas had two top finishes for the Chargers at the Yale University Collegiate Invitational on Saturday. He placed second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.00 seconds, hitting the New England qualifying mark. In the field, Thomas also was impressive, hitting the NCAA provisional mark of 7.18 meters and winning the event. Thomas was also named to the Northeast-10 Conference weekly honor roll for his performance.
Tiara Mitchell
Women's Track and Field
Mitchell led the Chargers at the Yale University Collegiate Invitational on Saturday.  The freshman placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 11.50 meters.  The mark set a new UNH record in the triple jump and hit the NCAA Division II provisional mark. She was also named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week for her performance.
