SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - Six University of New Haven student-athletes have been named to the 2010 Spring Northeast-10 Conference Academic All-Conference teams which were announced by the conference office.
Breanne Gleason (Bristol, Conn./Bristol Central ) and
Chelsea Harold (Oxford, Conn./Seymour ) were named to the NE-10 Academic All-Conference team in softball, while
Aubrey Duncan (Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford) and
Kristine Lambracht (White House Station, N.J./Hunterdon Central ) earned Academic All-Conference honors in women's lacrosse. Baseball shortstop
Ryan Brockett (Guilford, Conn./Guilford ) led the men's selections, while track and field jumper
Kyle Lambert (Columbia, Conn./Windham) rounded out the Chargers' six selections.
New Haven's 2010 Spring Academic All-Conference selections join seven other student-athletes who earned the honor in the winter and fall seasons. Lambert was also named to the 2010 Winter Academic All-Conference team for indoor track and field.
To be eligible for selection to the academic all-conference teams, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team's competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); and 3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution. The Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference teams are chosen by a vote of a committee of athletic administrators and Faculty Athletic Representatives (FAR).
