SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - University of New Haven men's basketball student-athlete Eric Anderson (Newark, N.J./Newark Tech) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 22, 2012.

Anderson averaged 15.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in helping lead the Chargers to a 1-1 week. The freshman also chipped in two assists and one block per game. He scored a week-high 18 points on 6-of-11 from the floor and 6-of-6 at the line in a win over Saint Michael’s. It’s the second time this season he’s been honored for this award.
