WEST HAVEN, Conn. – University of New Haven head football coach Peter Rossomando has announced 19 members of the Chargers’ 2012 recruiting class. The 2012 class features athletes from five different states and numerous different positions.
“The coaching staff has worked very hard in the off season and we believe this year’s recruiting class will help solidify the program as one of the best in the nation,” said Rossomando. “We had specific needs we had to address and I believe our coaching staff did a great job of identifying student-athletes that fit our program well. We are very excited to welcome all 19 into the Charger football family.”
The class includes seven defensive backs, four wide receivers, three linebackers, two offensive linemen, two defensive linemen and a kicker. Nine incoming freshmen are New Jersey natives, while Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Maryland are also represented.
