2012 Promotional Schedule

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – As a part of the University New Haven Department of Athletics’ ongoing commitment to building community, the men’s soccer team has announced its promotional schedule for select home contests during the 2012 season. Events will be held in conjunction with seven of the Chargers’ matches at Kayo Field this fall.
 
The Chargers welcome New Haven students back to campus on Thursday, Aug. 30 with College Night. WNHU, the University’s student radio station, will be broadcasting from Kayo Field. Students will also have the opportunity to win prizes through giveaways and contests as the Chargers host Molloy beginning at 4 p.m.
 
New Haven meets Holy Family at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2 for Latin Community Day. Members of all local Latin-American cultural organizations are invited to attend.
 
The promotional slate resumes on Friday, Sept. 21. The Chargers will meet Massachusetts Lowell at 4 p.m. during Greek Life and Football Appreciation Day. All of the University’s fraternities and sororities are invited to a pre-match tailgate at Kayo Field. The defending Northeast-10 Champion football team will also be recognized at halftime.
 
The Chargers host their lone night game of the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 6 when Franklin Pierce comes to West Haven for a 7 p.m. tilt. Prior to the game, New Haven will host a youth clinic in conjunction with Community Day.
 
Wednesday, Oct. 17 is Pink Day in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Chargers will don pink socks for their 4 p.m. meeting with Assumption.
 
New Haven teams up with the University’s International Club and Department of Intercultural Relations on Tuesday, Oct. 23 for International Day. The Chargers host Le Moyne at 4 p.m.
 
Throughout the season, the New Haven men’s soccer team will also invite local youth soccer clubs to join the Chargers for pre-match introductions and to play on Kayo Field at halftime.
