Chargers to Host Dig Lavender Campaign at Upcoming Home Matches

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The University of New Haven women's volleyball team will hold a Dig Lavender fundraiser at its upcoming home matches. The event is in honor of Bentley University Head Volleyball Coach Sandy Hoffman, who is battling Adrenocortical Carcinoma Cancer.

Currently in her 32nd season at the helm in Waltham, Coach Hoffman is the longest-tenured head volleyball coach in the Northeast-10. This season, she reached the 750-win plateau and has moved into fourth all-time in coaching victories at the Division II level. Lavender is the color used to recognize all rare forms of cancer.

Fans can contribute to the Chargers' Dig Lavender campaign at home matches beginning with this Saturday's tri-match featuring Merrimack and No. 8 Nebraska-Kearney. The event will continue on Tuesday, Oct. 15 against NYIT and conclude with a visit from Dowling on Thursday, Oct. 24.
