Complete Game Notes (PDF)The University of New Haven football team begins its 2014 season and the Chris Pincince era with a visit from No. 10/11 West Chester. New Haven was recently tabbed for second place in the Northeast-10 Preseason Poll, as voted upon by the conference's 10 head coaches. The lone non-conference game on the Chargers' regular-season slate brings in perhaps the toughest test of the schedule, as the Golden Rams were the unanimous prediction to win the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division following a 2013 season that came to an end in the NCAA Division II National Semifinals. West Chester's 45-14 home win over the Chargers to open last fall was New Haven's only non-conference game on that slate. The Golden Rams bested two NE-10 teams in 2013, beginning their NCAA postseason trek with a 38-7 trouncing of American International.
