Voytek Named to D2Football.com All-America First Team, Condit Also Honored

FULL D2FOOTBALL.COM ALL-AMERICA TEAM

WEST HAVEN, CONN. - Senior's Zach Voytek (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) and Tyler Condit (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) added to their trophy collection on Thursday as each earned a spot on the D2Football.com All-America teams with Voytek named to the First Team and Condit earning Honorable Mention accolades.

The D2Football.com All-America team is selected by input from the D2Football.com staff, sports information directors, coaches, and scouts from across the country.

The First Team honor for Voytek comes after earning Second Team distinction as a junior and adds to an impressive collection of awards for the senior offensive lineman. Earlier this month, Voytek was one of five Chargers to earn All-Region honors from the Don Hansen Football Gazette, while he was also an American Football Coaches Association Division II All-America First Team selection. The Northeast-10 Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year for the third straight season and an NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Super Region One First Team honoree, Voytek was also named to the New England Football Writers All-New England team and is a three-time First Team All-NE10 performer.

Condit also adds this accolade to All-Region honors from the Don Hansen Gazette and All-Super Region One Second Team honors from the D2CCA. Additionally, he was a finalist, for the third straight year, for the prestigious Cliff Harris Award and a First Team All-NE10 honoree. Condit closed out his senior campaign with 117 tackles becoming just the second player in school history to record at least 100 tackles in three season. For his career, the Caldwell, N.J. native racked up 452 total tackles, breaking a program record that Eric Lesinski held for nearly 30 years.

The Chargers capped off the 2016 season with a 7-4 overall record and a 6-3 mark in NE10 play, defeating crosstown rival Southern Connecticut State University on NE10 Championship Weekend.
